Learning that surgery is necessary can be frightening no matter how major or minor a problem.  To affirm the highest quality of patient care and respond to a dramatic increase in surgical procedures, Greenbrier Valley Medical Center expanded its surgery center in 2004 and 2005 as well as expanding the surgical services available.

Improvements include the addition of state-of-the art medical equipment and more surgical suites to better care for the communities we serve.

Most of all, the GVMC Surgery Center provides peace of mind.  The community can be assured that they can get "First Class Surgery, Right Here at Home".

The GVMC Surgery Center has expanded by 10,000 square fee and added two new operating rooms making a total of six.  A new surgery entrance with canpopy and waiting area with private registration have also been built.  Along with all this, the day surgery unit has been converted to all private rooms. 

The big feature of the surgery expansion is to ensure the highest in patient privacy, each step of the way, whether it is registration, waiting, the day surgery unit, or recovery.
