Ronceverte, WV – Greenbrier Valley Medical Center announced it will break ground this summer on an approximately 7.6 million dollar expansion to their existing Emergency Room which will more than double the size.
Rob Followell, CEO for Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, said, “It is exciting for us to be able to provide the updated Emergency Room to our community. This will allow us to expedite patients coming into our Emergency Room and provide better, faster service.”
Dr. John Johnson, D.O., ER Director & Board President, said, “The new ER will be a great addition to our community. Features like a dedicated Obstetrics & Gynecology room and dedicated X-ray in the ER will be a great improvement for our patients.”
Construction is anticipated to begin in July 2009 and will last for approximately 20 months. The architects on the project are Laughlin Miler Hillman from Louisville, KY.
