Greenbrier Valley Medical Center has a rich history in the scenic Greenbrier Valley. Since 1938, the hospital has played an indispensable role in the regions development.
A replacement facility was built on the current campus in 1974. Triad Hospitals acquired the hospital in 2000, and from 2001 through 2005, the facility was rebuilt and expanded from a 30 year old 100,000 square feet facility into a modern, state-of-the-art 135,000 square feet facility.
GVMCs inpatient services have been improved with a new ICU, new patient rooms, and renovated OB unit. The outpatient services have also been improved with a new ambulatory surgery facility and expansion of the Imaging and Emergency Room facilities.
Greenbrier Valley Medical Center serves as a teaching facility for the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and hosts a Family Practice residency program.
With more than 90 skilled physicians representing 25 specialties, Greenbrier Valley offers a wide array of medical, surgical and outpatient services that are typically not available at a rural facility.
